About Toni

Toni Kim has been the director of spiritual care for the National Association of Evangelicals since 2021. For 17 years, she served as a minister at a church in downtown Boston, where she helped found the disabilities ministry Enable Boston. She received her B.S. in applied math from Yale University, and a Master in Christian Studies from Regent College, with a double concentration in Biblical languages and interdisciplinary studies. Her thesis was on what the Bible says about shame and how that impacts Asian American evangelism and spiritual formation. In 2021, she completed Harvard Kennedy School of Government's Public Leadership Credential with distinction. Toni is a licensed minister with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

Toni serves on the board of governors for Regent College and visiting board for Taylor University. Previously, she was on the advisory council for the Fuller Center for Spiritual Formation, the founding board of Joni and Friends Greater Boston and board vice chair of a local Christian community development organization. She and her husband Walter currently reside in Charlottesville, VA, and have two adult children, including a daughter with Down syndrome who lives up to her middle name of Joy.
